Student Hubs Photography Competition Runner-up!

This week, Student Hubs hit the runner-up spot in the NCVO Annual Photography Competition. NCVO is the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, and Student Hubs is one of their thousands of members. It was announced this week at the NCVO Annual Conference in London that our photograph 'Grey means no' (above) placed runner-up in the photography competition.

The photograph 'Grey means no' was taken at New Voters New Politics, an event held before the 2010 General Election to encourage young people to get engaged in the democratic process, and to have their voices heard on a range of topics, from development and human rights to corporate responsibility.

At the event, students and young people had the opportunity to put their questions to politicians, and then show their agreement or disagreement with their answers through waving coloured cards.

The photograph was taken by Tom Bradley, our favourite photographer, who has covered many Student Hubs activities, and has also worked to shoot the student protests in London and the work of the Mercy Ships in Africa. He is currently working in Sierra Leone, and his amazing pictures can be found on his blog:
