Amnesty International

Amnesty InternationalAmnesty International is a human rights advocacy organisation, standing up against governments who engage in the systematic violation of human rights and giving a voice to those without one. On campus, the USYD Amnesty society holds regular forums where students can hear talks, discuss and brainstorm on a range of important humanitarian issues such as censorship in China, refugee rights, international human rights law, political prisoners and so on. We also hold various other events throughout the year and hope to be an example of how students themselves can pursue real political change through simple actions and be part of the fight to uphold the human rights of all people. Weekly Meeting: Tuesday at 1:30 on the Ground Floor of Manning All welcome, so come along and get involved!
