Internships

Internships are a fantastic way to gain experience. The majority of ethical organisations, charities and NGOs do not run graduate schemes, so internships often provide the only entry-level opportunity.

Internships and placements are very varied, so when applying consider what benefits they might provide, and whether they will work for you. For example:•   

• Will the internship give you experience in your area of interest?
• Is there a structured training programme?
• Will the internship give your CV a boost?
• Is it paid or unpaid?
• Can the organisation cover your expenses?
• How long is the placement?
• Will it interfere with your studies?
